Stretch film is a highly stretchable plastic film used to secure pallet loads and other objects. It is made from polyethylene, and it is available in a variety of widths, thicknesses, and colors. Stretch film is applied to a pallet load by hand or with a machine. As the film is wrapped around the load, it is stretched to three or four times its original length. The elastic recovery of the film then holds the load tightly in place.
